The Bach - 2×2 Cedar Planter
The Bach is the most compact planter in the Liberty Jones system, designed for gardeners who want durable materials and real growing performance in a small footprint.
Its 2×2 size fits easily into patios, balconies, walkways, and tight garden spaces while still providing enough soil depth for herbs, vegetables, flowers, and decorative plantings.
The structure combines Western Red Cedar framing with Incense Cedar cladding. These two cedar species were selected for their natural resistance to decay, insects, and moisture, allowing the planter to perform outdoors without chemical treatments.
Each planter is finished with Formula J™, a natural wood oil designed to protect cedar from sun exposure, moisture, and environmental wear while remaining safe for soil and food-growing environments.
The result is a compact raised bed that offers the durability of a permanent garden installation while maintaining the flexibility of a modular system.

Liberally wipe or card scrape Formula J a wall at a time, let sit for 5-30min then buff off with an applicator pad, rag, or microfiber.
