Built with intention.
Designed for permanence.

Liberty Jones Planters is a small workshop based in Bend, Oregon dedicated to building permanent garden structures from real materials.

In a world where most products are designed around replacement, we focus on longevity. Every planter is built from locally milled cedar, precision machined, and sealed with Formula J™, a proprietary plant-safe oil developed to protect wood from moisture, UV exposure, and time.

Nothing is added without purpose.
Nothing is decorative without function.

Our Core Pillars

Precision Craftsmanship
Every component is machined, sanded, and assembled with tight tolerances to ensure structural integrity and long-term stability.
Material Integrity
We use Western Red Cedar and Incense Cedar for their natural resistance to moisture, decay, and environmental stress.
Formula J Protection
Each planter is sealed with Formula J™, a penetrating plant-safe oil that protects wood while allowing it to breathe naturally.
Modular Architecture
The Liberty System allows planters to be assembled, expanded, and reconfigured without replacing the original structure.

Where Craftsmanship Meets Chemistry

Formula J™ is a proprietary plant-safe wood finish developed to protect cedar from moisture, UV exposure, and environmental degradation.

It penetrates deep into the wood grain, stabilizing the material while allowing it to breathe naturally. Unlike surface sealers, Formula J™ protects from within, preserving structural integrity and appearance for decades.
