Formula J
Formula J™ is a natural oil wood finish developed to protect wood without the synthetic chemicals found in conventional coatings.
Engineered from plant-based oils, natural resins, and protective compounds, the finish penetrates deep into wood fibers to nourish and stabilize the material. This helps protect against moisture, UV exposure, and environmental wear while enhancing the natural grain and color of the wood.
Originally developed to protect Liberty Jones cedar planters, Formula J™ is well suited for garden structures, outdoor furniture, wood planters, cutting boards, and other natural wood surfaces where durability and material safety are important.
Instead of creating a thick surface coating, Formula J™ penetrates the wood to strengthen and protect it from within while maintaining the natural look and feel of real wood.

Simple three-step application:
Clean the wood surface to remove dust and debris.
Apply Formula J™ liberally with a cloth, brush, or applicator pad.
Allow oil to penetrate for 1–30 minutes, then buff away excess oil.
Reapply periodically to maintain protection.
